Create a Device Group in UWS Explorer

This procedure shows how to create a device group. Device groups allow you to streamline work by issuing a single command for a particular set of M2M devices. For example, you can activate the lines of service for all devices in a device group with a single API call.

1. Select the Device Group > Create Group tab.

   

2. Enter a New Group Name for the device group.
3. Optionally enter a New Group Description for the device group.
4. Select a device for the group from the upper panel using the Identifier Kind and Device Identifier controls, and then click the >> button to add the currently selected device to the list.

5. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to add devices to the group.

   

6. When all devices have been added to the new group, click Create Device Group.
